A proper amount of rhenium dissolved in tungsten can form solid solution alloys. Under the "rhenium effect", the tungsten-rhenium alloy has higher plasticity, higher recrystallization temperature, better creep resistance at high temperature, higher thermoelectric potential and higher resistivity than pure tungsten.
